You have to delete both the 'Digital Editions' and the '.adobe-digital-editions' folders. I have then used an independent, free, eBook program called, Calibre, to load the first, downloaded EPUB file into Calibres own library. Plug the NOOK on the computer using the USB cable.Ĥ. At this point I can read the book on screen on my iMac but when I sideload it on to my Nook, the Nook does not allow me to read it - User not activated. Has anyone been able to register a Nook, a Sony Reader or a Kobo with Adobe Digital Editions If I can register the nook I can then manually copy over my DRM protected library books, but so far ADE has not picked up the nook when I plug it into a USB port. ![]() Early in December 2016, they would not download to ADE and I get the message 'unable to download. For years I have downloaded library e-books (epub format) to Adobe Digital Editions and then moved them to my Nook. So incredibly confusing, but incredibly happy to have finally figured this ish out. Message comes up saying format is not responding or the books will simply stop during the download. Here's the skinny if you (after downloading and installing V.3 or 2 and still not working, you ahve to delete the 'Digital Editions folders from your nook folders to officially 'unauthorize' your device. ![]()
